چکیده

This work focuses on the dynamics of a train solid particles, separated by distance $L$ , flowing near deformable interface formed two co-flowing immiscible fluids in microchannel height $h$ . Our study includes systematic analysis influence governing parameters (fluids viscosity ratio, and particle positions, Reynolds $Re$ capillary $Ca$ numbers inter-particle ) hydrodynamic force $f$ exerted particle. In pure inertial regime with non-deformable interfaces $Ca=0$ is driven towards wall (interface) when close to (wall). Up three neutral equilibrium positions $f=0$ them stable, are found this limit. The contrary obtained $Re=0$ limit, we also carried out an asymptotic distinguished limits very large small surface tension. latter case, amplitude deformation induced large, comparable its diameter, but limited region upstream downstream limit tension, presence modifies shape length $2\lambda$ much larger than diameter $d$ parameter $\lambda$ introduces additional characteristic that determines behaviour flow properties

Electrodipping force acting on solid particles at a fluid interface.

We report experimental results which show that the interfacial deformation around glass particles (radius, 200-300 microm) at an oil-water (or air-water) interface is dominated by an electric force, rather than by gravity. It turns out that this force, called for brevity "electrodipping," is independent of the electrolyte concentration in the water phase. The force is greater for oil-water than...

Migration and fractionation of deformable particles in microchannel.

The complexity of the coupling between soft particle deformation and fluid perturbation has limited studies of soft particle hydrodynamics to dilute suspensions. A hybrid Brownian dynamics-lattice Boltzmann method is presented that models nondilute soft spherical deformable particle (DP) suspensions in flow. Dependences on particle size and density are investigated for suspensions with over 100...

Dynamic Analysis of a Nano-Plate Carrying a Moving Nanoparticle Considering Eelectrostatic and Casimir Forces

This paper reports an analytical method to show the effect of electrostatic and Casimir forces on the pull-in instability and vibration of single nano-plate (SNP) carrying a moving nanoparticle. Governing equations for nonlocal forced vibration of the SNP under a moving nanoparticle considering electrostatic and Casimir forces are derived by using Hamilton’s principle for the case when two ends...

A Versioning Approach to VM Live Migration

In the context of virtual machines live migration, two strategies called “pre-copy” and “post-copy” have already been presented; but each of these strategies works well only in some circumstances. In this paper, we have a brief presentation of QAVNS and then introduce a new approach which is based on the concept of "informational object", assigning QAVNS-scheme-revision number, and observing th...
